The Israeli Occupation Forces are currently establishing a buffer zone along the Palestinian side of the Gaza Strip border fence, according to Hebrew sources.
The Hebrew newspaper "Haaretz" stated on Thursday that this zone spans from Beit Lahia in the north to Kerem Shalom in the south.
Once completed, the buffer zone will extend one kilometer into Gaza and cover approximately 16 percent of the Strip's total area.
Additionally, the Israeli Occupation Forces are constructing a cross corridor to divide the northern Gaza Strip from its central and southern regions.
Further details regarding the characteristics of the buffer zone were not provided by the Hebrew newspaper.
